Fast Green FCF - Introduction
Staining of plant histology and cytology. It is a basic dye used for protein dyeing in IEF, PAGE and SDS-PAGE. Fast green staining covers a wider range of protein concentrations than bright blue R(Brilliant Blue R) and is linear. After electrophoresis, it is more sensitive to fix the protein on the gel for dyeing. Dissolve the protein on the gel with 0.1% fast green in 30% (v/v) ethanol, 10% (v/v) acetic acid or 7% acetic acid for 2 hours and then dedye with 30% (v/v) ethanol, 10% (v/v) acetic acid or 7% acetic acid. The dye gel can be browsed at 625 nm. The detection sensitivity is 30% higher than that of Brilliant Blue R. In addition, Kuai Green is also used for sulfite determination, making bacterial culture medium to identify Escherichia coli and other lactose fermentation bacteria, and culture and isolate typhoid bacilli in feces.

Artificial dyes

Its disadvantage is that it is easy to fade after sunlight, and aniline blue, bright green, methyl green, etc. are more likely to fade. Pay attention to the pH in the production, and avoid direct sunlight, and it can not fade for several years.
Fast green (English Fast green) is an acid dye that is soluble in water (solubility is 4%) and alcohol (solubility is 9%). Solid green is a dye agent for dyeing cellulose cell tissue containing pulp, which is widely used in dyeing cells and plant tissues. It is listed as the three most commonly used dyes in plant histology alongside hematoxylin and safranine.
